Well today saw the start of an online crop that I had been invited too. Bearing in mind that for over a yea,r I have been challenging my group members daily and also I create all the challenges, Yet I hadn't yet experienced an online crop from your perspective, this would be interesting? Things were about to change....
I was late joining in, not a great start lol, but when I did join, there was a warm welcome from Laura, one of the hosts. The first challenge I could see was underway as some finished pages had already been posted. I saw the challenge requirements post which took ages to find on FB , because, without help from group members, every time someone, liked or commented, it moved the brief further down the page, eventually, I was about to experience the Blind challenge. Hang on a minute i'm going to do a page blindfolded ? Really? no surely not........
Of course not!! You can't blame me for being ignorant and stupid lol, I've never heard of it before. but what a fabulous idea. Its when you are given written instructions on what you need, where to put them and thats it, everyone else gets the same the 'BLIND' bit is because no one knows what the end product will look like until the end.
Lets do this!!!
I will always be honest, no point in being any other way. Initially the thought of this challenge whilst getting all the bits together, was excitement, then as the page developed, I felt penned in & artistically restricted. I really wanted to move stuff around and develop the page my way but this wasn't within the restraints and i suppose that why its a challenging page, It felt uncomfortable to me.
Anyway once finished I decided that maybe i'm not so good following instructions thats why I don't use sketches, unless I really have too. I was pleased with the result , after all our Grandson, Leo is the Star and this challenge took me out of my comfort zone, which quite honestly is the whole purpose of challenges anyway .
With a few tweaks, I may consider using this idea at one of my crops.
Well i've got another few of the crops challenges to report on so stay tuned. chat soon julie x
